We highly recommend showering outside in the lava rock showers - the lava rock showers are beautiful and it's a great feeling to shower with the warm sun and a cool breeze against your skin. Even though we didn't have our own shower, we were always able to get a shower when we needed one. Perfect spot to watch the sunset! Michael and Greg were great hosts and made us feel welcome in their b&b. Their location is very convenient to many places and there is great snorkeling just minutes away. Beautiful plantation (true to pictures) with a wonderful lanai that overlooks the ocean. Very happy that we stayed here instead of Kona. We had an excellent stay here and would definitely come back! We used Ka'awa Loa as our base as we explored the Kona side of the island and the volcano park. My husband and I stayed here for a few days in December.
